City watching Aouar - reports
Pep Guardiola is closely monitoring the progress of Lyon's Houssem Aouar, according to reports.
The French side are likely to miss out on Champions League action next season due to the early termination of Ligue 1 - meaning that they may have to sell some of their best players, claim L’Equipe.
That includes the 21-year-old midfielder, who has an estimated value of €50m.
Lyon may be more likely to consider permitting Aouar's departure now they have Bruno Guimaraes on the books, having signed him in January for €20m.
Liverpool’s interest in Mahrez
Riyad Mahrez says that he could have signed for Liverpool two years ago.
Then at Leicester City, the forward was attracting plenty of interest before City met the Foxes' asking price of £61m.
And Mahrez now says that Liverpool were just one of the clubs who had been tracking him - but they opted against signing him when they snapped up Mohamed Salah instead.
“Before signing for Manchester City, there was interest from Liverpool in me, but as soon as they took Mohamed Salah, it was finished," he told BeIN Sports, via Get French Football News.
Mahrez has scored nine goals across all competitions already this season.
Premier League can restart in June
The Premier League can restart after June 1, according to the latest government guidance.
A new document says that from next month it will be possible to host sporting events behind closed doors.
That means the remaining 92 Premier League matches are likely to be available to view on television only.
The game's governing bodies are yet to decide how exactly the season will end.
