Man City morning headlines as City agree deal for Brazilian player Diego Rosa

City could offer Garcia in Koulibaly swap deal - report

City are reportedly considering offering Eric Garcia to Napoli in part-exchange for Kalidou Koulibaly.

That’s according to a report by talkSPORT , which states that City could reduce Napoli’s asking price for the Senegal international by offering them another centre-back in exchange.

Pep Guardiola has already added Nathan Ake to his squad this summer, but Koulibaly is another priority defensive target.

And with Garcia having turned down recent offers to extend his City contract beyond 2021, the Blues may have found a way to prise Koulibaly away from Napoli .

However, any swap deal would be contingent upon Garcia agreeing to join the Serie A side, with Barcelona also interested in signing the 19-year-old.

City give stadium expansion update

City will have to reassess stadium expansion plans in light of the coronavirus pandemic.

City expanded the Etihad’s south stand by 6,000 seats five years ago as well as redesigning the home dressing room and launching the Tunnel Club, and are hoping to do the same with the north stand.

However, those plans have been put on hold as City prioritise finding a way to welcome supporters back to the stadium safely.

"The word here is pragmatism and sensibility. Some of the projects continue and we see the sense of expediting them, others because of the challenges that come with Covid we had to put on pause,"  said chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak .

"The expansion of the stadium, the changes that we wanted to do with hospitality, we're going to have to figure out as it goes what is going to be the expectation post-Covid in the stadium and what is going to work and what isn't going to work.”

City agree deal for Brazilian Diego Rosa

City will welcome highly-rated youngster Diego Rosa to the club in January after winning the race for his signature.

The 17-year-old Brazilian will join City midway through the 2020/21 campaign. The deal cannot go through until the midfielder’s 18th birthday, which is why the transfer is delayed until the start of next year.

City fought off competition from Juventus for the talented youngster , who is currently on the books of Gremio.

The deal is worth up to £21million and Rosa is likely to be loaned to Girona or another City Football Group team.
