Pep Guardiola believes that Manchester City are fully innocent of the Premier League rules they have been charged with breaking.
The Premier League announced in shock news on Monday that the club were in breach of over 100 rules, with nearly a decade of seriously misrepresenting their financial position and then years of failing to cooperate with an investigation. City expressed surprise at the charges and have welcomed a commission that they believe will clear them of the charges.
From the minute he started his press conference, speaking for the first time since the charges, Guardiola made clear he was in full agreement with the club. The manager stated that he believes the club are fully confident and that club executives are even more confident of being cleared than they were when UEFA charged them.
