Man City manager Pep Guardiola answers Claudio Bravo questions with his own question

Pep Guardiola answered questions about Claudio Bravo with his own question after a chaotic Champions League game.

The sight of the Chilean goalkeeper warming up at half-time was enough to set jitters going among the Manchester City fanbase. And minutes after it was confirmed that Ederson had come off as a precaution with injury, Bravo conceded to see City's lead eliminated.

It got worse for the veteran as he was shown a red card for his challenge on Josip Ilicic with ten minutes to, becoming the first substitute keeper to be sent off in the history of the Champions League. Bravo was also sent off in the competition during Guardiola's first season at the club away to their former club Barcelona.

With his last Premier League start coming in May 2018 - the final day of the Centurions campaign as the Blues clinched their 100 points - the prospect of Bravo in goal in an already-depleted side will not fill fans with confidence as they head to Anfield on Sunday.

Guardiola though said he would have no doubt putting Bravo in for the game if Ederson is not fit and has faith in every member of his squad.

"He's ready. He's an incredible, experienced professional. He's ready," said the manager.

"It is what it is. If Ederson is ready, he is gong to play. If not we will play Claudio, We trust him. Why should I doubt any players I have in my squad?"
