Man City 'make Grealish top target', Kane decides on future and more transfer rumours

Manchester City have identified Jack Grealish as their number one transfer target.

That is according to the Sunday World who report City have made Grealish their priority signing in the summer window after getting ready to exit the race for Erling Haaland's signature, currently one of the world's most sought-after talents.

It's not like Grealish is under the radar in comparison to Haaland, though, as the Aston Villa star has sealed his reputation as one of England's most elite creative talents in recent years, quickly developing into the club's star man.

Grealish has six goals and 12 assists for Villa this season, but his contribution for Dean Smith's side exceeds any statistics on paper, with seemingly almost every passage of play orchestrated through the 25-year-old.

The report claims Grealish could be available for £75m and it is believed that Villa are aware of City's growing interest.

"I’m expecting three or four very big deals of my own that will break a lot of records. Hopefully, they’ll come about," Jonathan Barnett, who represents Grealish, recently told The Athletic, which adds to the intrigue of the potential move.

Staying with English talents, The Athletic have reported that Harry Kane wants to leave Tottenham if they fail to secure Champions League qualification this campaign and that looks increasingly likely.

Kane is widely regarded as one of the world's best strikers, but the report claims he has become disillusioned with life at Tottenham with the club stagnating, failing to win a trophy since his emergence.

"Maybe in the future it is going to happen if they decide it is necessary to improve the team," Guardiola said recently when asked about City spending a substantial amount on one player.

The Tottenham forward, who has won the Golden Boot twice, would certainly command a hefty fee if a move away was sanctioned, and it's not yet clear that City would even be willing to spend that much on the 27-year-old in this financial climate.
