Man City loan round-up as Zack Steffen's wait goes on but Taylor Harwood-Bellis shines

Zack Steffen

The American goalkeeper played in Middlesbrough's 2-2 draw at home to Sheffield United on Sunday. He is still searching for his maiden clean sheet with Chris Wilder's side but was not at fault for either goal against the Blades.

He pulled off a fine save in the second half and will be hoping that elusive shut-out isn't too far away.

Taylor Harwood-Bellis

The centre-half played the full 90 minutes on Friday night as Vincent Kompany's Burnley fell to a first Championship loss of the season, 1-0 away at Watford.

Despite being on the losing side, Harwood-Bellis won plaudits for his composed nature on the ball and won four of his aerial duels against a dangerous Hornets' team.

Tommy Doyle and James McAtee

Both midfielders joined Sheffield United this summer, agreeing to spend year-long placements at Bramall Lane.

Despite both taking part in the midweek EFL Cup defeat to West Bromwich Albion, the pair have yet to be involved at Championship level. Sunday saw them as unused substitutes for the 2-2 draw at Middlesbrough. Wednesday night's visit of Sunderland offers the pair another chance of making their league bows for Paul Heckingbottom's side.

James Trafford

Goalkeeper Trafford kept a second clean sheet in a row in a dogged goalless draw for ten-man Bolton at the weekend.

The Trotters sealed a precious point away at Port Vale despite playing the entire second half a man light. Trafford pulled off some big saves to preserve the point and maintain their unbeaten start to the League One season.

Cieran Slicker

Stopper Slicker was an unused sub as Rochdale's poor start to the League Two campaign continued. Dale went down 1-0 at home to newly-promoted Grimsby and remain pointless after three matches.

Yan Couto

Brazilian defender Couto made his second debut for Spanish side Girona at the weekend. After spending the 2020-21 campaign there, he played 82 minutes as City's sister club lost 1-0 away to Valencia in their first game back in La Liga since promotion last year. The only goal came from the penalty spot after a handball offence by one of Couto's teammates in first-half stoppage time.
