Man City line up vs FC Porto includes Sergio Aguero and Eric Garcia

Pep Guardiola has named a strong Manchester City side to face FC Porto in the Champions League tonight.

Coming into the game on the back of City's win against Arsenal, Guardiola makes just two changes, as Eric Garcia replaces Nathan Ake and Ilkay Gundogan comes in for Phil Foden.

One of the big talking points before the match was whether to include Sergio Aguero, who returned against the Gunners following several months out.

Guardiola has opted to start the striker against Porto, with Raheem Sterling and Riyad Mahrez also in a strong front three.

In midfield, Gundogan starts alongside Bernardo, with Rodri once again in the holding role.

And in defence, there is no Ake in the squad, as Garcia replaces him alongside Ruben Dias at centre-back. Kyle Walker and Joao Cancelo are the full-backs — although Cancelo was used in midfield against Arsenal.

Aleks Zinchenko returns to the matchday squad for the first time this season after recovering from injury, as he takes his place on a youthful-looking bench alongside Felix Nmecha, Tommy Doyle, Taylor Harwood-Bellis, Cole Palmer, and Adrian Bernabe.

Clubs are permitted to name 12 substitutes this season under temporary rules in the Champions League.

Man City starting XI vs Porto: Ederson, Walker, Dias, Garcia, Cancelo, Gundogan, Rodrigo, Mahrez, Bernardo, Sterling (C), Aguero

Substitutes: Steffen, Carson, Stones, Zinchenko, Torres, Fernandinho, Foden, Nmecha, Doyle, Harwood-Bellis, Palmer, Bernabe
