Man City likely opponents in Champions League last 16 and draw date

Manchester City secured their place in the last-16 of this year's Champions League with a draw away at Porto.

It was hardly a classic but the stalemate ensured Pep Guardiola's men will finish top of Group C with a game to spare.

City's final game will see them host Marseille at the Etihad later this month but they can be safe in the knowledge they are already going through as group winners.

They will now await to see who they get drawn against in the knockout stages.

Here is all of the key information you need to know in regards to the Champions League last 16 draw.

When is the Champions League last 16 draw?

The draw will take place in Nyon, Switzerland, on Monday, December 14 and will be shown live on BT Sport.

Who could City face?

Of course, City cannot face Porto in the next round and they cannot be drawn against fellow English clubs either.

Ahead of the Wednesday night matches, there are as many as 17 teams who City could be drawn against in the last-16.

They are: Atletico Madrid, Red Bull Salzburg, Monchengladbach, Shakhtar Donetsk, Real Madrid, Inter Milan, Atalanta, Ajax, Sevilla, Dortmund, Lazio, Club Bruges, Barcelona, Juventus, PSG, RB Leipzig, Istanbul Basaksehir.

When will the Round of 16 ties take place?

The first leg of the last-16 will be played on February 15/16, with the second leg set to be competed on March 16/17.

April 6/14, 2021 : Quarter-finals

April 17 and May 5, 2021 : Semi-finals

May 29, 2021 : Final.
