Man City legend Pablo Zabaleta unsure if Pep Guardiola will stay amidst Juventus rumours

Manchester City legend Pablo Zabaleta has admitted he is not sure if Pep Guardiola will remain at the club.

Reports in Italy have claimed Guardiola will move to take charge of Italian champions Juventus, who are seeking a new manager after announcing Massimiliano Allegri will be leaving.

Speaking ahead of the FA Cup final victory over Watford, Guardiola dismissed the speculation he would leave the Etihad Stadium but that has not quelled the rumours.

Zabaleta , now plying his trade for West Ham, hopes Guardiola does not leave the Premier League but admits he is unsure if he will be sticking around.

“It would depend on him, I don’t know, because he’s not a manager who likes to stay for more than three or four years,” he told BeIN Sports.

“He is such a passionate person. When you see he’s been with Barcelona for no more than four years, three years I think with Bayern Munich, and he can stay at City for as many years as he wishes.

“He would be difficult to replace, especially when you see how the team is playing at the moment. Everyone seems to be enjoying it and I hope he can stay for many years.”
