Manchester City will make their move for Jack Grealish following Euro 2020, according to reports.
Perhaps owing to this summer's tournament, it has been a slow start to a transfer window for City in which there is a lot of work to do.
A replacement for departed legend Sergio Aguero is at the top of the list and the club are also looking to sign Aston Villa star Grealish.
The Manchester Evening News understands that City are prepared to spend £100million on the creative forward, who believes he will secure a move to the Etihad this summer.
Pep Guardiola is a huge admirer of Grealish and with several of City's stars considering their futures, the Blues have seized the chance to bring in one of the Premier League's best playmakers.
The 25-year-old's stock has risen yet further this summer after shining for England in their run to the semi-finals of the European Championship, having picked up two assists in three appearances and helping turn the tide in the last-16 clash with Germany.
According to ESPN, City have the 'appetite' to move for Grealish once his participation in the Euros has come to a close.
However, Aston Villa aren't ready to let their talisman go without a fight.
Grealish only signed a new deal at Villa Park last year which runs until 2025 but according to the Telegraph the Midlands club are confident of tying down their captain to a new one-year deal in a bid to fight off City.
The proposed deal would reportedly see his weekly wage increase to over £150,000-a-week.
Meanwhile, City youngster Filip Stevanovic is reportedly attracting interest from Dutch side Heerenveen.
The Blues signed the teenage Serbian from Partizan Belgrade in January for £7.65million and immediately loaned him back to the club, but he has now returned to City and plans have turned to where he will play next season.
According to Dutch magazine Voetbal International, via InsideFutbol, Heerenveen are in talks with City about signing Stevanovic on loan, but the club aren't thought to be rushing to a decision.
