Man City join race for the 'next Karim Benzema' and more transfer rumours

Manchester City's hopes of signing Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic have been dealt a major blow.

That is according to a report by Tuttosport who claim that the Serbian would prefer a move to Italian heavyweights Juventus, instead of making the switch to the Etihad Stadium.

City are poised to be desperate to bring in a new striker next year after failing to replace Sergio Aguero during the summer, despite having set their sights on landing Tottenham Hotspur ace Harry Kane. City were desperate to bring the England captain to the Etihad Stadium but were priced out of a deal by Spurs' hefty demands.

Since then, a whole host of strikers have been linked with a move to City, but reports linking Vlahovic with a move to the Premier League have been rife.

The 21-year-old, who is reportedly not prepared to sign a new deal at Fiorentina, has been in blistering form so far this season, scoring ten goals in 12 appearances in all competitions.

However, his form has sparked interest from Juventus and the striker is now said to be keen on a switch to the Serie A giants.

Meanwhile, City have set their sights on signing an alternative striker in the shape of £42.4million-rated Nice star Amine Gouri, a report by Fichajes claims.

It is reported that City have entered the race to sign the striker in a bid to bolster their attacking options.

The 21-year-old has been in excellent form of late and has been considered as one of the brightest prospects in Ligue 1. In 12 appearances this season he has so far scored six goals and claimed four assists.

It is claimed that City manager Pep Guardiola has taken a liking to Gouri, with it claimed that his style of play resembles that of Real Madrid and France star Karim Benzema.

Gouri only joined Nice from Lyon last summer for £5.9million, but is now worth almost ten times as much, highlighting his potential and talent.
