Bernardo Silva has been ruled out of Manchester City’s trip to West Ham with a muscular injury.
The Portuguese international joins Benjamin Mendy as the two new major absences for Pep Guardiola.
Mendy will be out for 10-12 weeks following a knee surgery during the international break, but Bernardo’s injury is only considered minor. He could be back for Tuesday’s Champions League tie with Lyon, depending on how he responds to treatment over the weekend.
Fabian Delph is set to come in for Mendy at left back as the England international resumes the role he held for the majority of last season.
Bernardo’s absence against West Ham, meanwhile, could give Ilkay Gundogan or Phil Foden the chance to start at the London Stadium.
City are also without Kevin de Bruyne, who is recovering from his latest knee ligament injury, but could be back by the start of December.
Nicolas Otamendi is working his way back from an Achilles injury.
