Gabriel Jesus, Bernardo Silva and Ilkay Gundogan will all face late fitness tests ahead of Manchester City’s clash with Bournemouth.
All three missed Tuesday’s Champions League tie with Lyon, but Pep Guardiola will run the rule over them in a final training session on Friday.
Kevin de Bruyne, who is still recovering from knee ligament damage, is also progressing, but is expected to miss the upcoming games against Bournemouth and Watford.
City fear next week’s crunch game against Chelsea will come too soon for the Belgian.
Bernardo is nearing a return from a muscle injury, while Gundogan hurt his foot against West Ham last week and Jesus suffered an adductor problem in training.
“We have training and we will assess,” said Guardiola. “I think Kevin is not ready, but soon he will be ready.
“Gabriel we’ll see, but the doctor says he’s much better and we play a lot of games in this period.”
