Bernardo Silva could return for Manchester City’s clash with Lyon as he battles back from a muscular injury.
The Portuguese international missed Saturday's win over West Ham, while Benjamin Mendy was also absent.
Mendy will be out for 10-12 weeks following a knee surgery during the international break, but Bernardo’s injury is only considered minor.
Fabian Delph is set to deputise for Mendy at left back as the England international resumes the role he held for the majority of last season.
City are also without Kevin de Bruyne, who is recovering from his latest knee ligament injury, but could be back by the start of December.
Nicolas Otamendi is working his way back from an Achilles injury.
