Man City injury latest on Kyle Walker and two other stars before Arsenal fixture

Manchester City will look to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table when they travel to Arsenal on New Years Day.

The Blues have been in fine form of late and have not lost domestically since their 2-0 home defeat to Crystal Palace on October 30.

With a busy festive and new year period for manager Pep Guardiola to carefully navigate around, the City boss has not shied away from chopping and changing his starting line-up.

Defender Nathan Ake performed well at full back against Brentford just days ago, while Kyle Walker, John Stones and midfielder Rodri were all unavailable for the game against the Bees due to fitness issues.

England international Walker, has since been pictured returning to training ahead of his team's tricky test against the Gunners tomorrow lunchtime, although Rodri and Stones weren't spotted in that latest training video.

Joao Cancelo has declared himself fit and ready to play and has been included in the travelling squad, despite a burglary at his home that left him shaken.

The thieves stole jewellery from the 27-year-old's home, reporting that he and his family were okay, with a nasty cut above his eye the result of trying to fight off the robbers.

Elsewhere across the side, Riyah Mahrez has been in hot goal scoring form, with Raheem Sterling forcing for appearances from the bench in recent weeks.

With the only real weak-spot of this current City side a genuine No.9 the January window may perhaps present an opportunity to delve into said market should the opportunity present itself.
