Man City include John Stones and Zinchenko in line-up vs Olympiacos for Champions League fixture

Manchester City have handed starts to John Stones and Oleksandr Zinchenko for tonight's Champions League fixture versus Olympiacos.

Pep Guardiola has named a fairly strong XI that also includes Kyle Walker, Phil Foden, Kevin de Bruyne and Raheem Sterling, as City look to win their third successive group match in the competition.

Gabriel Jesus is among the substitutes after recovering from a thigh injury, with Sergio Aguero and Benjamin Mendy missing altogether.

Stones will partner Nathan Ake at the back, with Ruben Dias and Aymeric Laporte both rested. Sterling or Ferran Torres will play as the central striker.

Guardiola stressed before the game that it was "important to go on to nine points" in Group C, as City seek to wrap up qualification as quickly as they can, to take pressure off their squad in the Premier League.

"You cannot make a false step in the Champions League because after that you struggle. We have an incredible opportunity to make a huge step to qualify for the next round," he said.

City beat FC Porto and Marseille in their first two group matches.

City XI: Ederson, Walker, Stones, Ake, Zinchenko, Gundogan, Mahrez, De Bruyne (C), Torres, Foden, Sterling.

Subs: Steffen, Trafford, Dias, Jesus, Laporte, Rodrigo, Bernardo, Cancelo, Garcia, Nmecha, Bernabe.
