Man City have 'bid rejected' for Leicester City defender Caglar Soyuncu and more transfer rumours

Man City have seen a bid for Leicester City defender Caglar Soyuncu rejected, according to reports.

While City have been as good as ever going forward this season, their struggles at the back is what has seen them drop 14 points behind Liverpool in the title race.

The failure to replace Vincent Kompany and the injuries to Aymeric Laporte and John Stones has often left Pep Guardiola short on options and forced to deploy a makeshift defence.

As a result City are being touted to add some reinforcements to their back-line in January, even though Guardiola has insisted they are not looking to sign anyone.

Bournemouth's Nathan Ake, Kalidou Koulibaly of Napoli and fellow Fox Jonny Evans have all been touted but rumours continue to grow surrounding Soyuncu.

The 23-year-old defender has impressed in replacing Harry Maguire this season and has helped fire Leicester to second place in the Premier League.

The Sun claims that Leicester have 'rejected a £38million offer' from the Blues for the Turkey international.

However, City insist not only that they haven’t bid for the player but that they aren’t interested in him.

Meanwhile, City face competition from local rivals Manchester United and Barcelona for Dani Olmo, according to reports.

The Blues have been repeatedly linked with the Spaniard to the point that Pep Guardiola was asked about him before Dinmo Zagreb travelled to the Etihad in the Champions League.

The 21-year-old Olmo also scored a spectacular volley against City in the return fixture in Croatia.

However, Goal report that United and Chelsea have 'held talks with Dinamo regarding the future' of Olmo but that Barcelona are the front runners.

The report states that Olmo, who is a product of Barca's La Masia academy, is 'pushing for a January move after seeing Dinamo crash out of Europe' and that 'Barca feel confident in getting the deal over the line.'
