Man City handed Premier League title boost in battle with Liverpool

Man City have been handed a boost in their Premier League title battle with Liverpool after the return of four key men from injury.

Kevin De Bruyne, Benjamin Mendy, Fernandinho and John Stones all trained on Monday ahead of Saturday's clash with Fulham.

City are two points behind Liverpool having played one game fewer than Jurgen Klopp's side.

De Bruyne has missed much of the season after knee surgery and a hamstring problem. Mendy has also been unavailable to Pep Guardiola for large portions of the campaign with a knee injury of his own.

Key midfielder Fernandinho has been out since February and Stones returns after three matches injured due to a groin problem.

Aymeric Laporte has continued his comeback from injury after being left out by France during the international break.

City face a tough run-in, with a FA Cup semi-final against Brighton, as well as a Champions League quarter-final against Tottenham, to come for Guardiola's men.
