Man City handed major injury boost but Ilkay Gundogan will miss Everton clash

Kevin De Bruyne will be included in Manchester City's squad to face Everton on Wednesday night.

The midfield superstar has missed City's last seven games through injury but manager Pep Guardiola confirmed he was back in full training this week after stepping up his recovery.

Guardiola explained that De Bruyne would be available for selection in the Premier League clash at Goodison Park.

"He travels with us," the Spaniard said when asked how long it would be until his Belgian playmaker returned to action.

Striker Sergio Aguero will also travel with the squad but Guardiola explained he is not ready to start against Carlo Ancelotti's side after being out of action "for a year".

Meanwhile, world-class midfielder Ilkay Gundogan will not be part of City's travelling party for the game, suffering from a groin injury.

However, he is not set to be out for long.

"I don't think so, he feels really good," Guardiola said when asked if Gundogan was facing a long stretch on the sidelines..

"No travel because we don't want to take the risk. Maybe if it was a final or something special and we need him maybe we'd take a risk but at the moment we don't want to risk him. We have many games ahead. It's not a big big issue but we have to be careful."
