Manchester City youngster Liam Delap is a player who would be wanted by every team in the Championship, according to one boss in the second tier.
Delap, son of ex-Stoke City star Rory, is considered a huge talent by City.
He was slowly introduced to the first team last season, making three senior appearances and even netting for Pep Guardiola's side in a 2-1 EFL Cup win over Bournemouth in September 2020.
He made his Premier League debut as a substitute in a heavy defeat to Leicester City.
Guardiola has hinted that Delap could be promoted to the first team set-up over the next few months. But there is the much more likely possibility that he will be loaned out to aid his development.
If that is indeed the case, then Millwall chief Gary Rowett thinks it would be a case of all 24 Championship clubs putting their names forward for the chance to borrow the youngster next season.
Speaking to South London Press, Lions' chief Rowett said: “Rory is a good friend of mine and he worked with me.
"I know the family really well. Liam Delap, quite simply, is the best young striker around at the moment and every single Championship club, I’m sure, would be interested in taking him.
“Of course we’d be interested.
"But, at the same time, I’m sure everyone would be interested in him.”
Delap has already been linked with two clubs - Stoke, where Rory works as a first-team coach, and Derby, the club from which Delap junior joined City in 2019.
The new Championship season begins on August 6 although the transfer window remains open until August 31.
