Man City goalkeeper Ederson scores brace after playing outfield in charity match

Man City fans have often wondered just how good goalkeeper Ederson would be if played out field and dreamed to see it happen.

That dream has come true - and fans have a pretty good answer.

City's shot stopper scored twice while playing outfield in a charity game in Brazil.

The 25-year-old has often showed great confidence with the ball at his feet and is never afraid to take a pass while under pressure - or come miles out of his goal just to get a touch.

He even managed to bag an assist last season thanks to the accuracy of his passing.

Ederson honed his skills playing as a right-back when he was younger. He also played futsal in his youth.

While it seems impossible that Ederson will ever get a chance to play further up the pitch in a sky blue shirt, he did get the chance to do so in the charity match.

The game saw a 'friends of Ederson' side take on a team selected by Brazilian singer MC Guime and was hosted in Osasco, the home town of both.

A ticket for the match cost 1KG of non-perishable food which was then donated to those in need in the city.

City teammate Gabriel Jesus lined up alongside Ederson, who wore the No. 10 and played in the middle of midfield. With Real Madrid's Eder Militao and Ajax's David Neres also being involved, as well as famous musicians celebrities.

Ederson managed to get on the score sheet twice, coolly slotting away a penalty and then adding another late on by showing his quick feet to twice fool the goalkeeper and tap home.

Jesus also got on the score sheet with a towering header and also set up a man with one-leg to get in on the score sheet.

City's new No. 9 swapped sides in the second half to make the game fairer and could have had 10 assists if it wasn't for the awful finishing of MC Guime, who looked as though he hadn't kicked a ball in his life.

The game finished 5-5 and raised hundreds of pounds of food for charity. You can see the crazy highlights here .
