Kevin De Bruyne has returned to full training for Manchester City as he steps up his recovery from injury - but Ilkay Gundogan has been ruled out of the upcoming Everton fixture this week.
Talisman De Bruyne has missed City's last seven outings after suffering an injury in last month's win over Aston Villa, with Pep Guardiola placing a 'four to six week' timeframe on his absence.
As the four week mark approaches, Guardiola has confirmed De Bruyne has taken the next step of his recovery by returning to full training with the rest of his teammates ahead of the Premier League trip to Everton on Wednesday.
He said: "Getting better, really getting better. Today he did all training with the group. He's better."
De Bruyne's return comes at a good time, as Guardiola also offered an update on Gundogan's groin injury suffered shortly after scoring his second goal in the 3-0 win over Tottenham this weekend.
Guardiola said of Gundogan: "Gundo is much better but I don't think we will play tomorrow."
Elsewhere in the squad, Guardiola gave fitness updates on Ruben Dias, Sergio Aguero and Nathan Ake. Dias is fully recovered from the fever that has kept him out of the last two games, while Ake was not mentioned in the players who could feature so he is still unavailable.
As for Aguero, Guardiola confirmed the striker will once again be named on the bench, but isn't yet ready to start.
"Sergio is one year injured, so cannot start from the beginning but is ready to come back," Guardiola said.
"He was on bench last game and he will be again. Soon we believe he can start. He will take minutes.
