Man City get major injury boost vs Fulham in Premier League fixture

Five Manchester City players are ready to return to help their title charge at Fulham.

Pep Guardiola 's side can go temporarily top of the table if they win at Craven Cottage on Saturday lunchtime, putting the pressure on Liverpool for their Sunday showdown at Anfield with Tottenham.

And the squad will be stronger with Fernandinho , Vincent Kompany, and Kevin De Bruyne all fit again after missing recent matches. City have been without their Belgian duo for most of March while Fernandinho's absence goes back to the Carabao Cup final against Chelsea last month.

Benjamin Mendy is also in contention after a "really good" reaction to his knee in training and John Stones is also back, with Fabian Delph the only player missing for the trip to West London.

City's injury troubles in recent weeks have at least allowed a number of key players to rehabilitate during the international break in Manchester rather than heading off with their national teams.

With no players that did head off returning with problems - despite a scare for Leroy Sane with Germany - it leaves the manager with more options than he has had for some time.

"Everybody came back fit, Fernandinho came in, Vincent came in, Kevin, everybody," said Guardiola.

"[Mendy] trained the last three days and the reaction is really good. Except Delph everyone is fit, we have 21/22 players."
