Kyle Walker could be back available for Manchester City's New Year's Day trip to Arsenal after missing the last four games.
Walker hasn't featured since being sent off in the Champions League late in the defeat at RB Leipzig, as he was dropped to the bench for the following win over Wolves. He then missed the wins over Leeds, Newcastle, Leicester and Brentford with fitness issues cited.
In his place, Joao Cancelo and John Stones have played at right-back, while Aleks Zinchenko and Nathan Ake have rotated at left-back, so Walker's return to training is a boost for Pep Guardiola.
In pictures published by City on Thursday, Walker was taking part in a training session at the City Football Academy alongside his teammates who had edged past Brentford the night before.
There was still no sign of John Stones or Rodri, who have both missed the last two games, however the images did not show the full training group and only selected players.
Also spotted in the training pictures were Zack Steffen, Ruben Dias, Nathan Ake, Aymeric Laporte, Aleks Zinchenko, Fernandinho, Ilkay Gundogan, Bernardo Silva, Jack Grealish, Phil Foden, Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus, Riyad Mahrez and Kayky.
City travel to Arsenal looking for an 11th straight league win knowing victory would put them 11 points clear of Chelsea and 12 ahead of Liverpool before those two sides face each other the following day at Stamford Bridge. Liverpool have a game in hand over City after their Boxing Day clash with Leeds was postponed.
