Gabriel Jesus and Aymeric Laporte were both back in the gym after missing Manchester City's Champions League trip to RB Leipzig this week with knocks.
With City already confirmed as group winners in the Champions League, Jesus and Laporte weren't risked after picking up knocks in the win at Watford last weekend, both described as 'minor' issues.
However, Pep Guardiola didn't give any indication either way over the pair's availability for the Saturday lunchtime clash with Wolves at the Etihad in the Premier League, so it was a positive to see them both take part in Wednesday's recovery session at the City Football Academy.
Along with Rodri, Bernardo Silva and Joao Cancelo - who also didn't travel - Jesus and Laporte were pictured taking part in a 'light' recovery and gym session, according to City. Raheem Sterling, a second half substitute in Leipzig, was also seen in the gym on his 27th birthday, along with Josh Wilson-Esbrand, Cole Palmer and Ilkay Gundogan - who played the full 90 minutes in Leipzig.
Laporte and Jesus' return to training is a boost for City, who suffered possible setbacks with Phil Foden and Nathan Ake, who were both substituted as a precaution in Germany.
"Nathan has a problem with his back - we will see tomorrow," said Guardiola after the game.
"Phil had problems in the beginning of the game with his ankle. He struggled a little bit so he was taken off as a precaution and we put Raheem in his position."
Guardiola will speak to the media on Friday, where he could give a more detailed update on the progress of Foden, Ake, Jesus and Laporte.
