Man City forgotten 2018 signing has big plans for next season

Manchester City's 2018 signing Daniel Arzani is planning a big season at Celtic.

The Blues signed the teenager on the back of the World Cup, where he had been the youngest ever player to be make the Australia squad and also the youngest player at the tournament.

He was immediately loaned to Brendan Rodgers's Celtic after his Etihad move was confirmed, with Patrick Roberts and Jason Denayer having developed at the Scottish club in recent years.

However, after waiting two months to get his break in the team he almost immediately suffered a knee ligament injury that ruled him out for the entire season.

An exciting forward that has been earmarked as a potential star of the future, Arzani is looking to prove his worth under a new manager at Parkhead.

"I’ve set my eyes on next season being a big one for me," Arzani told the Fox Football Podcast .

"A lot of people have been saying I have potential, but at the end of the day there’s still a lot unproven. Right now my main focus is just getting back from this ACL injury and feeling good.

"For me (Rodgers' departure) doesn’t change anything. It was a challenge for me to play under Brendan Rodgers at the beginning - his mindset was to have his attackers defend a lot.

"It’s not an easy team to break into."
