Man City favourite David Silva makes Brahim Diaz prediction

David Silva believes Brahim Díaz has all the attributes necessary to succeed at Real Madrid.

Díaz left Manchester City in January after growing frustrated by a shortage of first-team opportunities, moving to the Santiago Bernabéu for a fee in the region of £15 million.

The 19-year-old struggled to make an impression during his first two months at the club, but featured in each of Real's final six league games - starting four of them.

The midfielder scored his first goal for the club in that time - a clean strike followed a twisting run from the halfway line - and former Blues teammate Silva is convinced that Díaz will be a success story under Zinedine Zidane.

"I think he'll do well," Silva told Spanish radio station Onda Cero.

"He's got incredible attributes. He's a really focused boy and I think he'll do well there."

Real will finish the campaign without success in the Champions League for the first time since 2015 after falling at the last-16 stage with defeat by Ajax.

City were dumped out on away goals by Tottenham in the following round, and Silva is determined to go all the way in Europe's premier competition next season.

"The club is growing more and more every year and now we're looking for success in the Champions League," he explained.

"The Champions League is more difficult because it's a knockout competition. If you lose concentration in a game you can be knocked out and that's what happened to us."
