Man City fans split after Pep Guardiola makes key Raheem Sterling call ahead of PSG clash

Man City fans are split after Pep Guardiola recalled Raheem Sterling to the starting XI for this evening's crucial Champions League clash with PSG.

City head to the French capital looking to maintain their 100 per cent start to their 2021/22 Champions League campaign but know they will have to be at their best to beat their big-spending opponents.

Guardiola's men will be full of confidence heading to the Parc des Princes following Saturday's crucial 1-0 win at Chelsea in the Premier League and the Spanish head coach has made two changes to that team.

Ederson retained his place in goal and the back four of Kyle Walker, Ruben Dias, Aymeric Laporte and Joao Cancelo are unchanged.

Similarly, the midfield trio of Rodri, Kevin De Bruyne and Bernardo Silva have all retained their places in the side but Guardiola has made two changes up front.

Jack Grealish retains his place on the left-hand side but Riyad Mahrez has replaced Gabriel Jesus on the right flank while Sterling will occupy the 'false nine' role that was occupied by Phil Foden in West London.

And it is the inclusion of Sterling - who excelled for England over the summer in the European Championship - that has provoked the most debate among supporters.

Sterling has found first-team opportunities hard to come by at club level this term and has been handed a major opportunity to stake his claim against a team who are well fancied to win the Champions League.

Unsurprisingly, his inclusion polarised supporters and you can see the full reaction above.
