Man City fans slam Spurs duo for allowing Liverpool FC to keep pace in Premier League title race

Manchester City fans are furious with two players in particular after Liverpool managed to escape with a 2-1 win at home to Tottenham Hotspur.

Liverpool looked likely to only go level on points with Man City in the Premier League title race and drop two crucial points when Lucas Moura cancelled out Roberto Firmino’s opener.

Moussa Sissoko then had a brilliant chance to give Spurs the lead in minute 85th but blasted his effort high over the bar.

Then as the game headed into injury time, Mohamed Salah's header back inside was parried by Spurs keeper Hugo Lloris and Toby Alderweireld put the ball into the back of his net.

It meant Liverpool jumped above City by two points and kept pace in the Premier League title race in what was a clear moment of relief for the Reds.

Man City, however, are still in the driving seat with their game in hand at Manchester United on Wednesday, April 24 but that hasn’t stopped City fans reacting in a negative way this evening to Lloris' and Sissoko's mistakes.
