Man City fans shut down Liverpool FC supporters over Premier League title advantage claims

The latest Premier League fixture changes were announced on Friday afternoon and it’s created quite a stir between Manchester City and Liverpool fans.

Sky Sports announced the TV games for the penultimate weekend of the season and Man City have what some Liverpool fans deem to be as the advantage by playing first.

There may be some way to go before we know if the penultimate weekend of the season will be relevant to the title race but some Liverpool supporters were still disappointed to see City land the earlier game on Sky over the first weekend in May.

Man City will host Leicester City on Saturday, May 4 (12:30pm kick-off) before Liverpool travel to Newcastle United on Sunday, May 5 (kick-off 4:30pm).

This revelation led to Liverpool supporters suggesting that City had landed the late-season advantage in the title race due to the scheduling.

However, this was something instantly refuted by fans of Man City on social media on Friday.

Even a Tottenham Hotspur fan got involved ahead of the quarter-final clash in the Champions League, with that supporter also shut down.

The reality is these City fans above are right. There have been advantages for each side throughout the title race so far but it's more or less evened itself out. It's all about the points on the board, not when you play anyway.
