Man City fans show love for Roberto Mancini as Italy shine at Euro 2020

Manchester City supporters have been showing their love for former boss Roberto Mancini at the European Championship.

Mancini won the Blues first Premier League title in 2012 thanks to Sergio Aguero's dramatic late goal on the final day of the season, but the Italian also won the FA Cup across his four-year tenure at the Etihad and he remains a hugely popular figure among fans.

His appointment was viewed by most as the beginning of the exciting Sheikh Mansour era and it can be argued that Mancini laid the foundations for his successors to achieve success with City, something Pep Guardiola is certainly building from now.

Since leaving City in 2013, Mancini has managed Galatasaray, Inter Milan and Zenit Saint Petersburg, but he's now head coach of Italy's national team and his side have established themselves as one of the favourites to win Euro 2020 with their strong displays.

Would you have Mancini back at City when Guardiola leaves? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

Italy are yet to concede at this summer's tournament and City fans have been quick to lavish the praise on their former manager.

Some supporters showed their affection for Mancini, while others suggested he could one day make a sensational return to City.
