Man City fans send Pep Guardiola team selection message ahead of Atalanta meeting

Manchester City fans want Sergio Aguero to return to the starting line-up for their Champions League game against Atalanta on Tuesday.

Gabriel Jesus was given the nod during the weekend's victory against Crystal Palace, scoring the first goal of the game with an expert header.

The Brazilian had the chance to square the ball to Kevin De Bruyne late in the second half, with City under increasing pressure, but opted to shoot instead, leaving the Belgian visibly frustrated.

Pep Guardiola has stuck by his rotation policy throughout the season and more changes are likely to be made against the Serie A side.

Despite Jesus scoring his 50th goal for the club against Palace, City fans want the youngster to drop to the bench with Aguero replacing him in the starting XI.

MEN Sport asked fans "Who should start against Atalanta on Tuesday?"

65 per cent of the 702 respondents voted for Aguero to start meaning only 35 per cent of fans wanted Jesus to retain his place.

The pair have both started one game each in Europe this season, Jesus lining up against Shakhtar and Aguero starting against Dinamo Zagreb.

Both players will be desperate to be given the nod and the fans have named their preference.
