Man City fans send Pep Guardiola Leroy Sane message after Germany goal

Manchester City supporters would like to see Leroy Sané and Raheem Sterling given the opportunity to switch wings during games next season after Sané cut in from the right to score for Germany against Belarus on Saturday night.

Uncertainty remains over Sané's future at the Etihad with the 23-year-old still to commit to a new deal and Bayern Munich reportedly keen on a move for the wide man.

Sané struggled for starts under Pep Guardiola last season, with Sterling and Bernardo Silva seemingly ahead of the German in the pecking order.

But Sané's performance against Belarus provided City supporters with food for thought, with the former Schalke man opening the scoring on 12 minutes with a well-taken strike after drifting in from the right wing.

And Blues on Twitter felt Sané would profit from a similar tactic being deployed at the Etihad next season.

A new formation

'He needs to play on the right'

Perseverance is key

'He will cause havoc'

'I see a Robben'

'They can both cut in and shoot'
