Man City fans send message to Leroy Sane following Bayern Munich transfer update

Man City fans have begged Leroy Sane to sign a new deal at the club following the latest transfer statement from Bayern Munich.

The Bavarians have made no effort to keep their desire to sign Sane a secret and the latest high-ranking official to discuss the City star is president Herbert Hainer, who admitted the club's interest.

“Sane is a great player that we are interested in, which is also known. Now you have to see how he comes back after his injury,” Hainer told  Sport.de.

The German giants irked City in the summer with their public pursuit of Sane as star players like Manuel Neuer, Robert Lewandowski and Serge Gnabry, as well as other club officials, all commented on the potential transfer.

It got to the point that then-manager Nico Kovac was forced to apologise after claiming he was 'confident' the deal would get done and Bayern had to publicly deny German reports that a deal had been completed on their Twitter account.

Yet it doesn’t appear to have put off the club’s officials from openly discussing Sane once again, with Hainer’s comments coming a week after CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge refused to rule out a fresh approach for Sane.

Sane's contract is set to expire at the end of next season, which has only served to fuel transfer speculation over the last six months.

The 24-year-old is yet to kick a ball this season after suffering knee ligament damage in the Community Shield but is back to full training.

Sane teased his return to action on Twitter as he shared a photo with the caption 'Loading...' and City fans took the opportunity to ask Sane to extend the contract that Guardiola still believes is on the table and stay at the Etihad.
