Man City fans react to Kevin de Bruyne's performance vs Tottenham

Manchester City suffered an early blow to their Premier League title hopes thanks to a 2-2 draw at home to Tottenham Hotspur this evening but Kevin de Bruyne's display was still something to behold.

Pep Guardiola's men took a 1-0 lead in the first half thanks to Raheem Sterling's headed goal but Erik Lamela equalised for Spurs.

Sergio Aguero restored City's advantage thanks to a close range finish but Lucas Moura's header in the second half led to the visitors going back to the capital with a point, with Gabriel Jesus' injury-time goal ruled out by VAR after a handball from Aymeric Laporte.

The star of the show, however, was undoubtedly de Bruyne, who was at the centre of everything good about the champions' play.

The Belgian midfielder missed most of last season through injury and with City still racking up 98 points it was easy to forget about his unique qualities.

The midfielder set up both of City's goals with killer pinpoint crosses, sparking discussion on social media about whether he is the best open-play crosser in world football.

De Bruyne was certainly back to his best, showing the form of 2017/18 which saw City romp to 100 points.

Pep Guardiola's side were so impressive last year but De Bruyne undoubtedly gives them another edge.

Whilst it didn't lead to a victory tonight, fans were still delighted with his performance.
