Man City fans react in predictable fashion as Sergio Aguero starts vs Arsenal

Manchester City fans are unsurprisingly delighted to see Sergio Aguero return to the starting XI against Arsenal.

City return to domestic action following the international break and Pep Guardiola will be hoping to see his side return to winning ways.

The Blues haven't won in their last two outings after being beaten 5-2 by Leicester City and then being held to a 1-1 draw with Leeds United last time out.

Saturday's fixture won't be a walk in the park, however, as Mikel Arteta got the better of his former club when they last met, as Arsenal defeated City 2-0 in last season's FA Cup semi-finals.

Pep Guardiola gives injury update on Kevin De Bruyne and Gabriel Jesus ahead of Arsenal

However, City have been seriously boosted by the return of Aguero who is making his first appearance of the season.

The Argentine has been on the sidelines for a number of months after he picked up a knee injury in his first start since football resumed against Burnley on June 22 last season.

City have also been without Gabriel Jesus in their last few matches which has left Guardiola short on options up top, leaving Raheem Sterling to lead the line and youngster Liam Delap to provide back-up from the bench.

With City without Kevin De Bruyne as well as defensive duo Aymeric Laporte and Benjamin Mendy, having Aguero back in the side must be a massive relief to the manager and fans are delighted to see him back.

City starting XI vs Arsenal: Ederson; Walker, Dias, Ake, Cancelo; Bernardo, Rodri, Foden; Mahrez, Aguero, Sterling.

Substitutes: Steffen, Stones, Gundogan, Torres, Fernandinho, Delap, Garcia.
