Man City fans react as John Stones and Phil Foden start for England but Jack Grealish does not

Manchester City players John Stones and Phil Foden will fly the England flag against Andorra tonight (7.45pm).

Having been called-up by Gareth Southgate for the latest Three Lions squad, the City duo have been selected in a starting line-up that will take on the European minnows.

The impending clash will take place at the Estadi Nacional in Vella.

There was some concern that the World Cup qualifier might not go ahead when the stadium - which features that much-talked about plastic pitch - caught on fire yesterday afternoon.

However, only minor damage was caused and the venue was, subsequently, deemed fit to play.

In a much-changed England side from what Southgate has often deployed in recent competitive outings, Stones and Foden take centre stage from a City perspective - and Kieran Trippier has been named captain.

Kyle Walker, Raheem Sterling and £100million man Jack Grealish have been rested, while City transfer target Harry Kane is also named on the bench.

England are in World Cup action twice during the international break - they take on Hungary at Wembley Stadium on Tuesday night (7.45pm).

Here are a selection of comments from City supporters about the line-up to play Andorra;

@MCFC_D7 said: "Sancho but no Grealish. Southgate out."

@BayleighMCFC posted: "Phil Foden is no longer one of the best wonderkids. He's now one of the best players in the world."

@ChrisMCFC added: "My last tweet until Foden scores."
