Man City fans react after Liverpool FC keep winning streak alive with last minute penalty

Man City fans have been reacting after title rivals Liverpool kept their remarkable winning streak alive thanks to a last minute penalty.

Liverpool faced perhaps their toughest test of the season so far as they came up against an in-form Leicester City, a team they dropped points to last season.

Sadio Mane had given the hosts the lead but when James Maddison grabbed the equaliser with just 10 minutes to go it seemed as if Liverpool were finally going to drop points for the first time in 17 games.

Fortune would once again shine down upon them, however, as Marc Albrighton kicked Mane's foot in the area which allowed James Milner to fire home the winner with the near last kick of the game.

It keeps Liverpool's undefeated streak in tact - now just one away from the record City set in 2017 - but more importantly moves them eight points clear at the top of the Premier League table.

It means City go into their clash with Wolves on Sunday knowing anything less than a win will give Liverpool a significant lead in the title race, even so early in the season.

City fans have been bemoaning the luck that Liverpool seem to always get - especially as the penalty looked a dubious one - while others are remain confident they will be able to overcome their foes.

Ever the optimist

Of course

The pressure is on

If only

Going to be some effort

Seems likely

Obviously not that easy

Can't blame them
