Manchester City fans want the club to sign a high-profile replacement for Sergio Aguero, when the time comes for the Argentine to depart the club.
Aguero is approaching the final six months of his City contract, and would be free to enter negotiations with a European club in January. City have made it clear that Aguero will be allowed to end his time at the club in whatever manner he desires, in recognition of his nine years of service that have seen him become the club's all-time record goalscorer.
Argentine Aguero, 32, has also expressed a desire to return to boyhood club Independiente in the past, while he has also been linked to a number of clubs around Europe.
Whether he extends his contract or not, City will soon be starting to look for a long-term replacement for Aguero, hoping to avoid the extended searches for a new centre-back to succeed Vincent Kompany.
And fans want the club to think big and attract one of Europe's most prolific young strikers to take on the responsibility Aguero will leave.
When MEN Sport asked supporters who they wanted to sign the most, the overwhelming choice was Borussia Dortmund's Erling Haaland, who could reportedly be available for as little as £75m in the future due to a release clause in his contract.
Of 1,677 votes, 87.1 per cent were cast for Haaland, with just 10.7 per cent backing a move to sign Aguero's international strike partner Lautaro Martinez.
2.2 per cent opted for another choice, with fans proposing moves for Luka Jovic, Patson Daka, or Kylian Mbappe, while others wanted to see Gabriel Jesus take an increased role in the City strike force.
