Man City fans name youngster they are most excited to watch against Preston in Carabao Cup

Manchester City fans are most excited to watch Spanish defender Eric Garcia potentially feature for the Blues in their Carabao Cup clash against Preston North End tonight.

The youngster made his Premier League debut at the weekend, coming on as a substitute after City had built a commanding lead at home to Watford.

Given City's injury woes at the back, Garcia could have a huge role to play under Pep Guardiola this season.

The 18-year-old is considered one of the club's top youngsters and has been tipped to start against the Championship side to show his manager what he's capable of.

With a number of promising youngsters set to feature, MEN Sport asked Manchester City fans which youngster they were most excited to watch in the League Cup tie.

A resounding 58 per cent of respondents were most excited to watch the defender ahead of any other young player potentially featuring.

Garcia's fellow defender Taylor Harwood-Bellis was the second most popular choice, with 22 per cent of respondents eager to see the Englishman impress.

Coming in third was former PSV prospect Jayden Braaf - who rejected Chelsea and Manchester United to move to Eastlands.

As reported earlier in the week, MEN Sport understand fan favourite Phil Foden is also in line to start after recovering from an illness.
