Man City fans name the two players who impressed most in pre-season friendly against West Ham

It was an all action first half in Shanghai as Man City took part in their first friendly of pre-season while facing off against West Ham and their fans have been left massively impressed by young duo Adrian Bernabe and Tommy Doyle.

City and the Hammers are competing for the right to face-off against Wolves in the Premier League Asia Trophy, after they destroyed Newcastle 4-0 earlier in the day.

Things got off to a rocky start for City as debutant Angelino handled the ball in the area and gave away a penalty which was coolly converted by Mark Noble.

Yet within eight minutes the game had been turned on its head as David Silva scored a brilliant volley and Lukas Nmecha slotted away a penalty within two minutes to put City ahead 2-1, which is how the half finished.

The stand out moment of the half was skipper Silva's equaliser, which was set up by Bernabe who played a sublime ball that was perfectly lofted over the Irons' defence into the past of Silva who controlled with his chest before slotting home.

The 18-year-old impressed massively on the right-flank and his fellow youngster Doyle has earned praise for his all action performance in the middle of the park.

Bernabe was subsituted at half-time but Doyle continued on into the second half, proving that Pep Guardiola must be impressed.
