Manchester City fans have demanded the club sign Matthijs de Ligt this summer as they look to replace Vincent Kompany.
City confirmed on Sunday morning that club captain Kompany would be leaving at the end of the season following 11 years of service.
Pep Guardiola is now tasked with the immense challenge of trying to replace the Belgian defender while also finding someone who is capable of taking the club captaincy.
Ajax defender De Ligt is a player on the radar of most club's in Europe, and it seems like fans want it to be him to replace Kompany at the club.
The Dutch international is expected to leave Ajax following a phenomenal season in Amsterdam and City supporters want their club to be the side who secures his signature in the coming weeks.
