Manchester City fans believe that Raheem Sterling has re-found his form at the perfect time ahead of the return to Champions League football.
City have finally started to gather some momentum as they followed up Wednesday's hammering of Newcastle United with another dominating victory against Brighton on Saturday.
The Blues cruised their second 5-0 victory in a row and it was Sterling who was the star of the show, as he scored a hat-trick on the way to the three points. The first was a great finish from distance while the other two were rare headers, the third of which was even more bizarre as the ball hit the back of his head as he was falling over.
It means that the England international has scored seven goals since the restart and has reached a new career record for goals scored in a single season with 27, and counting.
Sterling has endured a goal drought in 2020, not finding the back of the net once in any competition, before the suspension of the game and fans believe his upturn in form couldn't have come at a better time with important games in the FA Cup and Champions League on the horizon.

The victory against Brighton means City have assured them of second place in the Premier League table and qualified for next season's Champions League.
However, they will only find out if they have been admitted into the competition on Monday when the Court of Arbitration of Sport announce their decision on the club's appeal against their two year ban from European competition.
Regardless of the decision, City still have this year's Champions League campaign to complete and will be aiming to book a place in the semi-finals in Lisbon by defeating Real Madrid in their last 16 second leg on August 7.
