Man City fans make prediction for the future after Angelino re-signs

Manchester City fans do not expect the club to sign a new left-back for some time after the re-signing of former academy prospect Angelino from PSV Eindhoven.

Angelino left permanently last summer, but returns to the Etihad 12 months later after his £5.3m buy-back clause was activated.

In his time away from the Etihad, Angelino has come on leaps and bounds from the youngster who was sent out on loan across Europe and to New York City FC, as the Spaniard registered 12 assists for PSV last season.

Now, he will provide competition to Oleks Zinchenko and Benjamin Mendy at left-back, and is under contract until 2023.

The youngster joins a number of first team players on long-term contracts at the Etihad, and City fans are pleased to see the long term plan include a player they were reluctant to see leave in the first place.

Now Angelino is back at City, fans want to see him push on in the first team and stake his claim as City's long-term left-back.
