Man City fans loved what Pep Guardiola did to Raheem Sterling just moments after FA Cup final win

Manchester City may have comfortably overcame Watford in the FA Cup final at Wembley, but that didn't stop Pep Guardiola from giving Raheem Sterling a debrief on the pitch afterwards.

Cameras picked up the former Barcelona boss appearing to give what looked like a mini coaching session to the former Liverpool man in the midst of City's celebrations.

Sterling and team-mate Gabriel Jesus both bagged braces at Wembley, while further strikes from David Silva Kevin De Bruyne completed the 6-0 rout.

And when asked afterwards on Sterling, Guardiola said: “Raheem is one of the reasons we have done what we have done, but in the first half he did not play well.

"When I talk about how we can improve it’s that. He lost easy balls. Everybody can improve, I’m the first one who can, I ask my staff to push me.”

The victory ensured City became the first men's side in English football to claim a domestic treble, but Guardiola's actions didn't go unnoticed with fans taking to Twitter to applaud the Spaniard.

One fan tweeted: "This sums Pep #Guardiola Raheem #Sterling has just scored a hat-trick in a 6-0 #FACupFinal win to complete a domestic treble...And he still gets a passionate lecture from his boss. Relentless pursuit of excellence. Inspirational".

While another added: "Man City have just won the domestic treble and Pep Guardiola is still coaching Sterling... What a guy!".
