Man City fans loved aspect of Angelino's game in the victory over Preston

Man City fans were left very impressed by the crossing ability of Angelino in the 3-0 victory over Preston North End on Tuesday night.

There was a lot to like as City got their third successive Carabao Cup defence off to a comfortable start with first-half goals from Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus and a Ryan Ledson own-goal  securing the win.

There was a senior debut for 17-year-old centre-back Taylor Harwood-Bellis who didn't look at all out of place among City's star players and had an assured performance.

He was alongside Eric Garcia, who is just a year older, in the heart of defence and the pair handled themselves well against a wily Preston side who hadn't lost at Deepdale this season until City came to town.

Joao Cancelo came in for his first start and looked right at home, Benjamin Mendy got another 30 minutes of football under his belt and Adrian Bernabe came on for a late cameo too.

So while there was a lot of impressive aspects to the win it seems that the crossing of Angelino stood out the most.

The left-back was making his full debut for City after re-signing for the club from PSV in the summer and he impressed after a difficult pre-season.

He was up and down the flank all night and whipped several dangerous crosses into the box that should have resulted in goals.

On one particular occasion he found Jesus unmarked but the Brazilian could only head wide.

It was a good first proper outing for Angelino that shows City are now very well stocked at left-back and impressed supporters.
