Man City fans identify unsung hero from pre-season after Yokohama win

Manchester City fans have had plenty to cheer as their pre-season tour came to a close against Yokohama.

Raheem Sterling's performances through the middle have been a revelation, Kevin de Bruyne proved his point and Rodri is showing why City spent so much money to end their search for a Fernandinho replacement.

But there has been another positive from the matches in China, Hong Kong and Japan as Claudio Bravo made his long-awaited return from injury this summer.

With Ederson not with the squad after his Copa America exploits and last season's understudy Aro Muric on loan at Nottingham Forest, Bravo has returned between the sticks and started every pre-season game.

Against Yokohama, he kept City in the game on multiple occasions against an adventurous host side and he was desperately unlucky to concede after a sensational double save fell to Keito Enda to convert.

But Bravo's performances have given City a new option going into the new season, even if he is likely to be second choice to Ederson. And City fans have a new-found confidence in a player more than capable of stepping in when Ederson is rested or is unavailable - starting against Liverpool in next week's Community Shield.

Great to see him back

Got his mojo back

Proving the doubters wrong

Back to his best

He's back

What a performance
