Manchester City fans have been reacting to the latest developments in their search for a central defender to replace Vincent Kompany.
With the news that Manchester United have bid £70m for Leicester defender Harry Maguire, reports followed that they or City will have to pay over £90m to sign the centre-back.
City are interested in Maguire, but have been firm in recent years over pulling out of any deal that would require paying too much for a player.
So City fans will perhaps be interested to see speculation saying Bournemouth's Nathan Ake is now of interest to the club.
Ake, 24, is reportedly available for around £40m, and has enjoyed two impressive seasons at the Vitality Stadium either side of a £20m move from Chelsea last summer.
And fans responded well to those reports, suggesting Ake would represent better value for money than 26-year-old Maguire.
