The Portugal international moved to City in the summer, becoming the world's most expensive full-back after completing his switch from Juventus.
However, Cancelo has found playing time limited under Pep Guardiola, being unable to usurp Kyle Walker as the first choice right back at the club.
The former Valencia man got his first start for the club in the Carabao Cup against Preston North End and home supporters got their first real look at the defender during the 2-0 win against the Croatian champions.
