Manchester City fans are raving about Angelino after the Spaniard started the 3-1 Carabao Cup win against Southampton on Tuesday.
The defender rejoined City in the summer from PSV Eindhoven but has found playing time limited due to the form of Aleks Zinchenko and the return to fitness of Benjamin Mendy.
However, with Zinchenko now set for a spell on the sidelines, Angelino may prove to be a vital player for Pep Guardiola and the City boss handed the 22-year-old a start against the Saints.
Angelino completed three successful dribbles from defence, wasn't taken on once and completed 88 per cent of his passes. He had 134 touches during the win - more than any other player on the field.
City fans were left seriously impressed with his performance until he was forced off the field with an injury in the second half.
Supporters are hoping the problem isn't serious as they feel Angelino could became a regular member of the starting XI.
